Rob Hopkins is the founder of the Transition movement, and of Transition Town Totnes, in his home town. He is the author of several books including The Transition Handbook and The Power of Just Doing Stuff, and most recently From What Is to What If: unleashing the power of imagination to create the future we want. He hosts the 'From What If to What Next' podcast, writes and speaks widely on the themes of Transition and imagination, and  is an Ashoka Fellow. He has a PhD from the University of Plymouth, as well as two Honoris Causas, from the University of Namur and the University of the West of England. In his spare time he is an artist and a gardener.
